Job Summary

As a Development Engineer for Optical Measurement Technology, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and commissioning of complex measurement and testing setups for opto-mechanical modules and fiber assemblies. Your daily tasks include creating technical concepts, drafting specifications for mechanical design and operating software, and conducting sensitivity analyses to identify interference factors. You will define requirements for components such as light sources and detectors, plan structured experimental designs, and perform comprehensive data analysis. A key part of this role involves verifying and validating measurement stations and integrating these processes into series production. Required Skills

Education

University degree (University or University of Applied Sciences) in Photonics, Optical Engineering, Optical Systems, Laser Technology, Physics, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in measurement and testing technology, preferably within the manufacturing of optical systems or fiber assemblies
  • Experience in evaluating, presenting, and analyzing experimental measurement data
  • Advanced proficiency in using Python for data analysis purposes
  • Experience in creating technical specifications and requirements for mechanical construction and software
