Job Summary

As a Materials Tester at Heckler & Koch, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of small arms components for international security forces. Your daily responsibilities involve conducting destructive and non-destructive testing on both metallic and non-metallic materials, creating detailed test plans, and documenting results in comprehensive material test reports. You will be responsible for initiating supplier complaints when materials fail to meet standards and performing preventive maintenance on testing equipment. Required Skills

Education

Completed 3.5-year technical vocational training, e.g., as an Industrial Mechanic or preferably as a Materials Tester.

Experience

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in the field of materials testing is preferred
  • Professional experience in testing metallic materials and plastics
  • Experience with Glow Discharge Optical Emission Spectroscopy (GDOES) is preferred
  • Experience in creating and maintaining test plans and technical delivery conditions
  • Proven track record of independent, quality-oriented work in a technical environment
