As a Radar Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical operational readiness of stationary radar systems, specifically focusing on Precision Approach Radar (PAR-80). Your daily responsibilities include the maintenance and repair of equipment used in military air traffic control, alongside meticulous documentation of all technical activities using electronic management systems. This role is unique as it offers a civil service (Beamte) career path within the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), providing long-term stability and competitive civil service pay grades (A7-A8). Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Information and Telecommunications Technician, Process Electronics Technician, IT Specialist, or a related technical field. Must have eligibility for the intermediate technical administrative service (Laufbahnbefähigung).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electronics for devices and systems, information technology, or process electronics
  • Alternative experience as a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the Bundeswehr air traffic control technical service
  • Experience with technical and electronic interactions within complex systems
  • Experience in military air traffic control equipment maintenance is preferred

  • German citizenship required. Must be under 50 years of age at the time of appointment. Level Ü2 security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung) is mandatory. Valid Class B driver's license required.
