Job Summary

As a Portfolio Manager specializing in Sweet and Dry Beverages at Symrise, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of the product portfolio lifecycle. This role involves maintaining a world-class portfolio of flavors and ingredients by aligning activities with strategic priorities and governance guidelines. You will play a hands-on role in customer tastings, providing product and application expertise to support proactive project positioning. A significant portion of the role focuses on data management, including maintaining product codes, documentation, and identifying opportunities to reduce portfolio complexity. You will collaborate closely with strategic value chain teams, request coordinators, and market cluster managers to ensure the portfolio remains competitive and relevant. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a global leader in the flavor and fragrance industry, contributing to market-ready concepts that impact daily consumer lives. The role is offered as a full-time position on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

Required Skills

Education

Vocational training or University degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a commercial/business administration field.

Experience

Professional experience in the food and flavor industry, specifically with flavors, ingredients, or application areas
Proven experience in portfolio or product lifecycle management
Experience in project management within cross-functional environments
Demonstrated experience in data management and digital tool coordination
