Job Summary

As an IT Manager at the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK), you will play a pivotal role in securing Germany's national crisis management infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve driving digital transformation by introducing new technologies, optimizing IT processes, and developing comprehensive security concepts and technical guidelines. You will act as a central IT Project Coordinator, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Additionally, you will manage external service providers and oversee contract management. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent nature, the opportunity for civil servant status (Verbeamtung), and a significant monthly specialist allowance of up to 1,000 Euro. Required Skills

Education

University Master's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable information technology-focused field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the IT sector, preferably within a public authority or government agency
  • Experience in planning, developing, and implementing organization-wide IT projects
  • Proven experience in drafting technical guidelines, security concepts, and procedural manuals
  • Experience in managing and monitoring external IT service providers and contracts
