Job Summary

This permanent position at the TU Dortmund University's CALEDO research building involves the technical management of high-end analytical instrumentation. You will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and calibration of modern equipment, specifically focusing on Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD), Light Scattering (DLS/SLS), and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). Beyond technical upkeep, you will provide critical support to scientific staff and students by assisting with experimental setups and conducting training sessions on laboratory equipment. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Physical Technical Assistant (PTA), or Laboratory Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience as a Chemical, Biological, or Physical Technical Assistant (CTA/BTA/PTA)
  • Several years of professional experience as a Laboratory Technician
  • Multi-year experience working with PXRD, Light Scattering, and DSC methods
  • Experience in the maintenance and care of analytical laboratory instrumentation
  • Experience in training and supporting students or scientific personnel in a lab setting

  • The position is permanent and located at the CALEDO research building in Dortmund. Part-time employment or reduction in hours is generally possible. Remuneration follows the TV-L E9a pay scale.
