Job Summary

As a Building Automation Technician at the Technical University of Dortmund, you will play a critical role in the technical facility management department. Your daily responsibilities will involve the analysis, programming, and optimization of building automation systems across the campus. You will be responsible for controlling, regulating, and monitoring all essential technical building equipment and plant technology. A significant portion of the role focuses on sustainability; you will analyze energy consumption, identify potential savings, and support the implementation and maintenance of an energy monitoring system according to DIN EN ISO 50001. Additionally, you will perform independent troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on automation components. Required Skills

Education

State-certified technician (Staatlich geprüfte*r Techniker*in) specializing in Electrical, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering, or a Bachelor's degree in Technical Building Services (TGA) or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a comparable position within the field of building automation
  • In-depth knowledge of building automation systems, specifically with DESIGO CC
  • Experience in the operation of energy and building technology systems
