This role involves driving the municipal heat planning and the broader heat transition initiatives for the city of Darmstadt. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing target scenarios and implementation strategies for heat supply, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Key tasks include analyzing heat and cold demands, assessing heating structures in buildings, identifying waste heat potential, and conducting greenhouse gas balancing. The position also involves stakeholder engagement, public relations, and performing economic feasibility calculations for heat transition solutions in urban districts. Required Skills

Education

Master's or Diploma degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energies, Building Energy Technology, Supply Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or comparable qualification with interdisciplinary expertise in energy/heat generation and energy economics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a field relevant to the position (energy/heat generation and energy economics)
  • Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Desirable: Professional experience in heating networks, environmental heat utilization, energy-efficient building renovation, and/or energy management
  • Desirable: Experience in planning and implementing heat supply projects
