Job Summary

As a Deputy Data Protection Officer, you will be an integral part of the data protection team, working closely with internal stakeholders and supporting the municipal Data Protection Officer. Your daily responsibilities will involve processing and responding to internal and external inquiries related to data protection and freedom of information for the city administration. You will ensure compliance with GDPR and other legal data protection regulations through consultation, support, and auditing. This includes reviewing process documentation and Data Protection Impact Assessments, contributing to city-wide concepts and guidelines, and planning and conducting training sessions. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Information and Communication Technology, Law, or a comparable field; OR completed training as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt/in). Certification in EU-DSGVO (e.g., certified Data Protection Officer GDD/TÜV) is desirable or willingness to obtain.

Experience

  • • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in data protection

  • Must be eligible for civil servant status (Beamter/in) or covered by collective bargaining agreement (Tarifbeschäftigte/r). Full-time (41 or 39 hours/week) or part-time work possible. Must be able to work at a computer screen (Bildschirmtauglichkeit).
