Job Summary

This role involves conducting cutting-edge scientific research at the Hannover Medical School's Institute of Molecular and Cell Physiology. As a PhD candidate, you will investigate the underlying mechanisms of inherited cardiomyopathy, focusing on how single point mutations in sarcomeric proteins like cardiac myosin impair heart function. Day-to-day, you will utilize state-of-the-art biophysical and biochemical techniques, including optical trapping and Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy, to assess single-molecule functions. Required Skills
