This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the digital transformation of Germany's railway infrastructure. As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the implementation of innovative technologies, specifically the European Train Control System (ETCS) and Digital Interlocking (DSTW). Your day-to-day responsibilities involve coordinating technical planning, tendering, and construction phases from conception to commissioning. You will act as a central interface between various technical departments, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring that projects meet quality, cost, and schedule targets. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Fachhochschule/Hochschule) in Electrical Engineering, Signaling and Control Engineering, Communications Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
Experience
- Professional experience in the field of Railway Signaling and Control (LST)
- Proven experience in equipment technology, including the construction or renovation of 50Hz systems and telecommunications
- Extensive experience in applying project management methodologies to control deadlines, costs, and quality
- Experience in managing technical interfaces and coordinating with diverse project stakeholders and regulatory authorities
- Experience in preparing performance specifications and tendering documents for large-scale engineering projects
