Job Summary

The M365 Engineer serves as the central internal expert and consultant for all matters concerning the Microsoft 365 product world within a major insurance and financial services provider. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the planning, rollout, and continuous development of M365 products and services. A critical component of the role involves establishing robust governance structures (processes, guidelines) and ensuring the technical foundation is secure, including implementing security and compliance mandates such as Conditional Access, DLP, Auditing, and MFA to meet regulatory requirements (KAIT, DORA, GDPR). The successful candidate will coordinate 2nd/3rd-level support, manage external service providers, and actively participate in projects, potentially taking on sub-project leadership tasks. This role requires a background in IT or Business Informatics, multi-year professional experience with core M365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive), and strong expertise in administration and automation (PowerShell). Experience in the financial services sector and a high sensitivity to security and compliance are highly advantageous.
