Job Summary

This role involves ensuring a secure and reliable energy supply for Hamburg by focusing on the strategic development of the city's electricity, gas, and hydrogen distribution networks. The Network Development Engineer will be responsible for creating design principles and structures for the primary and secondary networks, conducting fundamental network planning studies, and developing implementation plans. A core part of the job is analyzing and evaluating the impact of new laws and standards on the distribution network, assessing required changes due to new customer connections, and modeling scenarios for network connection concepts. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, possesses experience in distribution network planning and project work, and demonstrates strong IT affinity, including knowledge of network calculation software and programming. This position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to Hamburg's critical energy infrastructure as part of its largest energy distribution network operator.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (or equivalent technical college degree) in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Sciences, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field with an electrical engineering background
