Job Summary

As a High Voltage Cable Engineer at Hamburger Energienetze GmbH, you will play a critical role in Hamburg's energy transition following the major merger of the city's power and gas networks. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing high-voltage cable projects from initial design through implementation and final commissioning. You will act as a technical expert during factory acceptance tests and sampling of high-voltage equipment, ensuring compliance with international standards and guidelines. Beyond project work, you will be responsible for analyzing complex operational issues, conducting fault investigations, and developing innovative technical solutions for 110 kV cable systems. This role is particularly attractive as it offers a permanent position in a future-proof industry, allowing you to contribute to digitalization and monitoring projects that secure the energy supply for a major metropolitan area. You will work both independently and within a team, coordinating with external contractors and internal stakeholders to maintain high grid reliability.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
