Job Summary

This critical role involves ensuring the reliable operation of Hamburg's medium voltage power grid by working within a dedicated 24/7 shift operation team. The technician is responsible for independently executing and instructing switching operations, issuing clearance permits, and managing outage reports across the supply area. A key part of the job is customer communication, including informing clients about ongoing fault clearance efforts and estimated restoration times, and providing technical advice regarding system issues. Candidates must possess a completed technical vocational training, ideally coupled with or currently pursuing a Master Craftsman or Technician qualification in Electrical Engineering. Success requires strong communication skills, customer orientation, self-reliance, resilience, and a commitment to working in a demanding shift environment to maintain continuous service.
