Job Summary

This role involves supporting the digitalization and IT infrastructure within Wiesbaden's Civil Engineering and Surveying Office, focusing on critical municipal services like traffic planning and e-government initiatives. The specialist will act as the primary IT contact, ensuring compliance with central IT policies, security, and data protection regulations. Day-to-day tasks include managing user access rights, prioritizing and resolving IT incidents, coordinating hardware roll-outs and procurement, and leading IT projects aimed at optimizing existing applications and introducing new systems. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with strong IT service management knowledge and a background in administration or IT, who is eager to contribute to public service and the city's transition towards modern, digital infrastructure and mobility solutions.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (minimum Diploma-FH/Bachelor) or completed advanced training that qualifies for the tasks (e.g., Administrative Specialist, Business Economist (VWA)), preferably in Administration or Computer Science

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience related to the tasks mentioned above
  • Professional experience, preferably in public administration
