Job Summary

This is a key technical role within the Munich District Office, focusing on the maintenance and technical management of refugee accommodation facilities. The Technical Officer will be responsible for continuously inspecting and assessing the technical condition of approximately 260 properties, overseeing maintenance work, and managing necessary repairs and refurbishments. A significant part of the role involves planning and implementing larger renovation and conversion measures, including tendering, coordinating, and controlling service execution according to public procurement standards (VOB, VOL, HOAI, and Bavarian Building Code). The ideal candidate must be a certified Technician or Master in construction, electrical engineering, or supply technology, demonstrating strong self-management, initiative, and assertiveness. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until June 30, 2027, offering meaningful and varied work within a highly motivated public service team.

Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfte/-r Techniker/-in) or Master (Meister/-in) in Construction Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Supply Technology (DQR 6 level equivalent), or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience as a State-certified Technician or Master in Construction Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Supply Technology (or comparable DQR 6 qualification)
  • Experience in technical facility assessment and maintenance
  • Experience in project steering (advantageous)
