Job Summary

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for an Engineer specializing in Automation and Battle Damage & Control Systems (BDCS) within the dynamic shipbuilding industry. The role involves contributing to the realization and implementation of customized automation solutions for various vessel types, aiming to enhance maritime safety. Day-to-day tasks include developing concepts for complex customer requirements, programming and parameterizing BDCS and integrated automated systems (including power management and propulsion), and realizing solutions using platforms like PCS 7, TIA, and Ignition. A significant component of the job involves worldwide deployment for commissioning, function tests, and customer handovers, including working both in port and at sea. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, possesses knowledge of high-level programming (C#, .NET, Java, TypeScript), and is prepared for frequent international travel and involvement in military projects.

Completed university degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent

Experience

  • Completed university degree or equivalent professional experience in project execution, engineering, and/or commissioning of automation projects
  • Experience in shipbuilding (surface/underwater) is advantageous
