Job Summary

This role involves joining a global team focused on developing advanced ceramic materials and technologies for gas turbines and next-generation energy transition applications. The Ceramic Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing ceramic materials and manufacturing processes, working closely with internal partners, suppliers, and research institutions to transition new technologies from early development into production. Key tasks include planning and evaluating experiments, collaborating with design and manufacturing teams on critical functional features, and supporting pilot and small-series production. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree (ideally PhD) in Ceramics or Material Science, coupled with several years of practical experience in advanced ceramic manufacturing processes such as additive manufacturing, injection molding, and sintering. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are required to effectively coordinate technology development, design, manufacturing, and quality across various internal and external stakeholders, contributing significantly to the decarbonization efforts within the energy sector.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Ceramics, Material Sciences, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, ideally with a PhD

Experience

  • Several years of practical experience with advanced ceramic manufacturing processes (Additive Manufacturing, Injection Molding, Casting, Shaping, Sintering)
  • Experience in ceramic technology development, pilot manufacturing, or industrialization is highly advantageous
