Job Summary

This role involves designing, simulating, and implementing complex high-frequency communication systems, primarily focusing on reflector antenna systems operating up to and exceeding 100 GHz. The engineer will be responsible for creating system specifications and documentation, performing system design for complex transmit and receive chains using coaxial and waveguide technology, and setting up corresponding laboratory experiments. A critical component of the job is close collaboration with partner companies on component selection and new developments, culminating in worldwide travel to plant locations for commissioning and testing at both subsystem and system levels. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably specialized in Communications/High-Frequency Technology, and possesses strong skills in measurement technology and scripting languages like MATLAB or Python, along with fluency in both German and English.

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering specializing in Communications Technology or High-Frequency Technology, or equivalent qualification

Experience

  • First professional experience is advantageous
  • Experience with high-frequency measurement technology is desirable
  • Knowledge of waveguide technology is advantageous
