Job Summary

This role involves coordinating and managing IT projects within the City of Ludwigshafen's IT Service department, which supports over 200 locations via a highly available data center network. The professional will independently plan, lead, and document projects related to new IT services and infrastructure, focusing on areas like Cloud, IT Security, and Digitalization. Key responsibilities include conducting preliminary studies, IST analyses, cost-benefit assessments, and developing technical specifications for procurement. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Public Administration, Business Informatics, or a related field, and possesses professional experience in IT project management. Technical expertise in server/network infrastructures, firewalls, and IT security is essential, alongside knowledge of methodologies like Prince2 and ITIL, or the ability to quickly acquire them. This is a full-time, permanent position offering flexible work arrangements and opportunities to shape the city's digital future.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Public Administration, Administrative Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Administrative Informatics, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Must meet the civil service requirements (Beamtenrechtliche Voraussetzungen) if applying with a Public Administration degree. The position is eligible for full-time (40/39 hours per week) or can be filled by two complementary part-time employees.
