Job Summary

This role involves comprehensive administrative support within the Federal Administration Office (BVA), focusing specifically on managing travel and relocation logistics for personnel. Day-to-day tasks include preparing travel arrangements for relocation-related moves, providing detailed consultation on travel and relocation cost regulations, and conducting final reviews and settlements of travel expense claims, including payment authorization. The specialist will also be responsible for drafting rejection notices, preliminary review of appeal cases, and handling passport and visa matters. Key requirements include a background in administrative services or a related commercial apprenticeship (e.g., Office Management, Administration, or Finance). The ideal candidate is structured, resilient, service-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills, with a willingness to develop gender and diversity competence. Experience in public administration and knowledge of the Federal Travel Expenses Act are advantageous.

Education

Successfully completed preparatory service for the intermediate non-technical administrative service (for civil servants up to A 8 BBesO) OR successful participation in the Employee Course I OR a successfully completed, generally three-year relevant vocational training in administration or as a commercial clerk (e.g., Office Management, Social Security, Tax, Legal, or Banking/Industry Clerk).

Experience

  • Professional experience in public administration (advantageous)
  • Demonstrable knowledge and professional experience in travel expenses according to the Federal Travel Expenses Act (advantageous)
