Job Summary

The Application Management Specialist will play a crucial role in driving the digital transformation of a major German insurer, working within a large IT department of over 400 experts. This role combines application management with a developer mindset, focusing on the operation and continued development of modern tools and services. A key responsibility is supporting the migration of the existing system landscape to the Cloud, specifically utilizing AWS and SaaS solutions. Day-to-day tasks involve agile collaboration within a motivated team, contributing ideas for automation and contemporary application support (including tools like GitLab, Nexus, Confluence/Jira), and actively influencing the overall development process. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in IT or equivalent qualification, strong Linux knowledge, experience administering server applications, and proficiency in at least one programming language (Golang or Perl preferred). This position offers the chance to actively shape the future IT landscape and requires weekly on-site presence in Cologne.
