Job Summary

This position offers a highly motivated PhD candidate the opportunity to join the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at TUM Klinikum Rechts der Isar, contributing to cutting-edge translational research in neuroimmunology and neurodegeneration. The core focus of this 36-month temporary role is investigating the interaction between different risk factors in Alzheimer’s disease. Day-to-day responsibilities include the independent planning and rigorous execution of complex wet lab experiments, encompassing advanced cell culture techniques, animal work (mouse models), and analysis using proteomics and single-cell transcriptomics. Furthermore, the role requires effective data analysis and the preparation and presentation of scientific results. Candidates must hold a Master of Science degree in Life Science (e.g., Biology, Biomedical Sciences) coupled with significant wet lab experience. This role provides an international, supportive team environment in central Munich, ideal for pursuing an independent research career.
