Job Summary

This role is for an ambitious Automation and Cybersecurity Engineer focusing on elevating industrial technologies within the electrical and automation sectors for FERCHAU's clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and integrating PLC systems into industrial networks and SCADA environments, planning and implementing network architectures according to ISA/IEC 62443 and the Purdue Model, and setting up VLANs and firewall zones for secure communication. The ideal candidate will secure automation resources using strict configuration standards and access controls, provide support for firewalls (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and Layer 2/3 switches, and conduct on-site troubleshooting and network connectivity testing. Key qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, coupled with several years of experience as a PLC programmer with network and cybersecurity knowledge, and practical experience with various industrial protocols.
