Job Summary

This role is for a highly qualified Research Scientist, preferably with a PhD in Physics, Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, to join the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Berlin. The successful candidate will primarily focus on the BMWE-funded LuFo project "Sonrisa," involving the execution and evaluation of computed tomography (XCT) measurements using laboratory micro-CT systems. Key responsibilities include leading the development of a Region-of-Interest (ROI) workflow for XCT analysis, conducting simulations using the proprietary aRTist software, and correlating simulation results with experimental data. The position requires deep expertise in computed tomography and digital image processing, strong programming skills (Python, Matlab, Labview, or C++), and the ability to supervise students and technical staff.
