Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Civil Engineering Technician specializing in road construction and infrastructure maintenance within the Mobility & Environment department of the City of Crailsheim. Day-to-day responsibilities include the planning and tendering of municipal maintenance work, particularly in road construction, and providing on-site construction management for these projects. You will also be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and operation of public roads, paths, and drainage systems, coordinating all planned construction activities in public traffic areas, and ensuring compliance with traffic safety regulations for third-party construction. Key qualifications include a completed technical degree in Civil Engineering (Tiefbau) or a comparable field, though cross-entry candidates from structural engineering are welcome. Desirable skills include knowledge of VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures), HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers), and experience with AVA (Tendering, Awarding, Accounting) software.
