Job Summary

This pivotal role as Deputy Head of Department involves co-managing the stable operation and active advancement of specialized clinical IT systems (KV Spezialsysteme & ESR). The successful candidate will support team leaders in the operational maintenance, development, and security of the clinical IT landscape, taking charge of crucial aspects like Incident, Problem, Change, and Ticket Management. Key responsibilities include the operational steering and coordination of projects, ensuring compliance with SLA and quality standards, and managing resources and capacity within the department. This position requires strong leadership potential, experience in managing complex clinical IT environments, and the ability to act as a central escalation point for conflicts and disturbances, ensuring structured decision-making and transparent communication across all stakeholders.

Required Skills

Education

University or University of Applied Sciences degree in Informatics, Business Informatics, Health Management, or a comparable field; Alternatively, a comparable qualification with several years of relevant professional experience in the clinical IT environment

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the clinical IT environment
  • Several years of experience in the further development of complex clinical IT system landscapes
  • Experience in the operational leadership of employees or teams
  • Profound knowledge in steering IT operations, projects, and changes
  • Experience in roles with escalation and decision-making responsibility (ideally)
  • Experience collaborating with medical departments, nursing staff, administration, and IT management
