Job Summary

This role requires a dedicated and highly organized professional to take on the holistic and independent management of clinical Image Management services within the Clinical Procedures department, based primarily at the Lübeck campus. The Service Owner is responsible for the entire service lifecycle, spanning stable operations, administration, troubleshooting (Second-Level Support), and strategic development. Day-to-day tasks include acting as the central point of contact for clinical users, actively participating in innovative IT and digitalization projects, coordinating releases and updates, and ensuring system availability through participation in on-call duties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of clinical processes, ideally including knowledge of PACS and DICOM standards, and the ability to analyze complex system landscapes to provide sustainable solutions. This position offers the opportunity to shape critical clinical IT infrastructure in a large university hospital setting undergoing digital transformation.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, or Medical Assistant with strong IT affinity, or University degree in Medical Informatics or similar field.

Experience

  • Understanding of clinical processes and workflows
  • Knowledge in clinical imaging procedures, PACS, and DICOM (ideal)
  • First experience in project management or project support (advantageous)
