Job Summary
This role involves comprehensive responsibilities in the planning, tendering, construction supervision, and billing of municipal infrastructure projects, primarily focusing on new construction, expansion, and maintenance of water and wastewater technical facilities in the city of Weener (Ems). Key tasks include the administrative management of sewage treatment plants and the sewer network, conducting hydraulic calculations, updating the general drainage plan, and processing property drainage applications. A crucial part of the job is collaborating with external engineering firms and regulatory authorities. The successful candidate must qualify and act as the official Water Protection Officer according to the German Water Resources Act (WHG), including preparing expert opinions and presenting plans to political committees. The position requires a degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Deep Construction or Urban Water Management, mandatory experience in sewer rehabilitation and deep construction, and expert knowledge of German procurement law (VOB, HOAI).
