Job Summary

This role involves operating and maintaining stationary and mobile production technology for live broadcasts and recordings across radio, television, and cross-media productions within the Media Operations and Mobility department in Berlin/Potsdam. The Media Technician will be responsible for ensuring high audio and video quality in daily television control rooms and on outside broadcast vehicles. Key daily tasks include setting up and dismantling equipment, matching cameras, performing simple audio mixing, and managing the correct function and alignment of all audio and video devices. Furthermore, the technician will collaborate on preparing and implementing cross-media programming projects and contribute to the continuous development of production technology and workflows, particularly focusing on 'smart' production techniques and IP-based signal transmission. This position requires a background in media design or media technology, expertise in professional audio/video systems, and the flexibility to work irregular shifts, including weekends and holidays, at various locations.
