Job Summary
This 12-month Trainee program offers a comprehensive introduction to Process Automation Solutions, focusing on digital planning systems and automation technology. Based in Mannheim, you will immediately take on project responsibility within the Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Regulation (EICR) planning unit. Key activities include mastering the COMOS engineering tool, co-designing fundamental structures, and developing concepts for IT/OT (Operational Technology) network structures. You will also contribute to interface development between COMOS and external Computer-AAided Engineering (CAE) systems, working directly with the development department. This role is ideal for recent graduates in engineering fields who possess a strong affinity for digital systems and wish to transition into a Digital System Planner role, driving the digitalization of process automation.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (or near completion) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Process Control Technology, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering
Experience
- Professional experience in a technical environment (e.g., through internships or working student activities)
- Affinity for technology, digital systems, and innovative solutions
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical relationships
- Self-organized and structured working methods

- Willingness to undertake occasional, mostly one-day business trips to regional customers (~30%); Must be able to start the program between April 2026 and June 2026; Future location is Mannheim area.
