Job Summary

This role involves working as a Passive Radar System Engineer for HENSOLDT, a global leader in premium sensor solutions, located in Ulm, Germany. The core mission is the development, implementation, and optimization of signal processing algorithms specifically for passive radar systems. Day-to-day tasks include processing bistatic/multistatic radar signals for target detection, tracking, and classification (e.g., CFAR, Tracking, Data Fusion), and synchronizing existing transmitter infrastructure (FM, DVB-T, LTE, 5G, 6G). The engineer will also be responsible for system concept design, requirements engineering, and conducting simulations and analyses using tools like MATLAB, Python, and C/C++. This position requires a background in Electrical or Communications Engineering, deep knowledge of radar and signal processing, and strong programming skills, offering the chance to contribute to cutting-edge defense and surveillance technology through multidisciplinary teamwork and international measurement campaigns.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in developing radar systems
  • Experience with Time-Frequency Analysis, Cross-Correlation, Doppler Processing, and Detection Algorithms
  • Experience in system verification and acceptance
  • In-depth knowledge of radar and signal processing, ideally in Passive Radar
