Job Summary

The University of Münster is seeking a dedicated Research Software Engineering (RSE) Coordinator to systematically organize and support research software development efforts across the university. This role, situated within the Center for Information Technology (CIT), acts as the central point of contact for research software developers in various departments and coordinates university-wide RSE support services. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and conducting training and professional development in RSE, analyzing RSE projects to allocate resources, and providing expert consultation on software engineering, tool provisioning for data engineering, and implementing CI/CD processes. A key focus is on ensuring the education and training of personnel through the development and execution of teaching formats on current RSE topics, alongside contributing to the scientific dissemination of research findings through publications. The ideal candidate holds a scientific university degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) and possesses strong experience in software engineering and data analysis.
