Job Summary

This role involves the technical implementation, administration, and development of the "Inter-municipal Digital Care Twin" model project for the Burgenlandkreis district. The specialist will organize the technical project launch, manage the IT architecture, set up user access rights, and ensure compliance with data protection and IT security standards. Key responsibilities include developing a sustainable data backup concept, coordinating with software developers, building inter-municipal data structures, and technically implementing dashboards and planning reports. The position requires a background in IT or Data Science, or extensive technical expertise, and strong analytical skills to help strategically address demographic challenges, particularly the increasing need for care and support structures, by utilizing this innovative digital planning instrument.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science, E-Government, Data Science, or comparable field, or completed training as an IT Specialist, or comparable training. Alternatively, completed commercial or technical training of at least three years with thorough and versatile technical knowledge in the scope of duties.

Experience

  • Professional experience in application support (desirable)
  • Experience working with geodata (desirable)
  • Experience with generative AI (desirable)
  • Experience in setting up websites (desirable)

Additional

  • Possession of Class B driving license and willingness to use own vehicle for business purposes against cost reimbursement. This is a part-time position (35 hours per week). The contract is temporary for approximately three years, subject to the approval of funding, which is expected in December 2025.
