Job Summary

The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is seeking a Technical Assistant for the Institute of Biology/Plant Physiology, General Botany Department. This full-time position is a maternity cover with a probable subsequent 10-month parental leave cover. The role involves preparing, conducting, and partially evaluating experimental research work within the group's themes. A key responsibility is the technical preparation and co-supervision of practical courses for Bachelor's, Master's, and teaching degree programs in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, and the international Master's program in Molecular and Cellular Biosciences. Candidates must have completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant in Biology or an equivalent qualification, coupled with practical experience in modern molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and cell biology methods. Excellent German and/or English skills, strong teamwork, and independent working methods are essential for success in this academic research environment.
