Job Summary

This PhD opportunity at the Center for Allergy and Environment (ZAUM) in Munich focuses on investigating innate immune mechanisms driving tolerance induction during allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT). The successful candidate will join the DFG-funded Research Training Group RTG 2668, focusing on identifying and characterizing human T cell subtypes, molecular signaling pathways, and novel tolerogenic adjuvants using cutting-edge technologies. Day-to-day tasks involve cell culture (including 3D and tissue models), molecular and epigenetic analyses, immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy, and single-cell analyses (flow cytometry, sequencing). The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Life Sciences or a related field, possesses practical experience in molecular biology or immunology, and demonstrates excellent English skills.
