Job Summary

This role is pivotal in driving sustainable mobility by managing specialized funding programs for municipal climate protection within the transport sector of Baden-Württemberg. The Specialist will join a highly motivated team responsible for grant administration and controlling, overseeing the operational support for approximately 350 funding cases in collaboration with regional governments and state companies. Daily responsibilities include complex process management, reviewing procedures, and ensuring approvals, with a strong focus on success monitoring, financial controlling, and hearing procedures. A critical aspect of the job involves applying funding and budgetary law to create optimal local conditions while securing the state's interests as a funding provider. The ideal candidate is a civil servant in the higher administrative service or a university graduate with proven knowledge in grant administration, possessing excellent communication, negotiation, and conceptual skills to navigate the intersection of politics and administration.

Required Skills

Education

Higher Administrative Service qualification OR Bachelor's/FH Diploma in a relevant field of study.

Experience

  • Knowledge and experience in grant and funding administration, acquired through study or professional experience
  • Experience in applying funding and budgetary law (Förder- und Haushaltsrecht)
  • Professional experience in complex administrative process management and controlling
  • Experience in managing departmental budgets and handling politically related inquiries
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain an overview of parallel administrative processes
