Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the robust information security of the state-wide Traffic Management Center (VMZ) in Baden-Württemberg, which is set to launch in 2027 to drive sustainable and modern mobility. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and updating security concepts, coordinating all security-relevant projects, and managing security incidents within the VMZ. Key duties include initiating and monitoring the implementation of security measures, coordinating audits, and providing security awareness training to staff. This position, which is assigned to the higher service level, also involves acting as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Ministry of Transport. Candidates should possess a relevant Master's degree and practical experience with established security standards like BSI IT-Grundschutz or ISO 27000 series, along with strong communication and conceptual skills to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma, ideally in a field related to Information Security (e.g., Administrative Informatics, Administrative Sciences), or equivalent qualifications and experience.

Experience

  • Knowledge of relevant standards (BSI IT-Grundschutz or ISO 27000 series)
  • Practical experience in information security (e.g., networking fundamentals, security standards)
