Job Summary

This role involves supporting neuroscience research projects at the Institute for Translational Psychiatry, focusing on understanding the development, course, and treatment of psychiatric disorders through biological sample analysis. The successful candidate will be a reliable and engaged member of an interdisciplinary lab team, responsible for the reception and care of study participants and patients. Key day-to-day tasks include performing various biosample collections, such as blood draws, spontaneous urine, and hair/saliva samples, and subsequent processing like PBMC isolation and DNA extraction. This position requires a meticulous, independent, and structured working style, along with empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients. It offers a structured onboarding process, diverse and responsible tasks within a scientific environment, and the opportunity to contribute to significant translational research, initially on a fixed-term contract until the end of 2026 with potential for extension.
