Job Summary

This PhD opportunity, funded by the DGF-Collaborative Research Centre 1748, focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HGP) axis regulation, specifically investigating testosterone action using functional genomics. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing laboratory and computational workflows for large-scale biological studies, collecting experimental and high-throughput data, and characterizing molecular and cellular mechanisms related to genetic variation. The role requires a Master’s degree in natural or life sciences, a strong interest in single-cell nucleus RNA-sequencing techniques (Perturb-Seq/Crop-Seq), and a willingness to learn computational biology and bioinformatics. This position offers a competitive, international, and interdisciplinary research environment, structured PhD training, and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge research in reproductive health and disease.
