Job Summary

This challenging role involves the administration, configuration, and operation of the e.discom firewall infrastructure and associated network components, ensuring secure network operations within the E.ON group. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the development of technical solutions and organizational regulations, establishing technological specifications for IT services, and managing external service providers and partner firms. The specialist will lead working groups, create detailed reports for management, and drive the technical planning and execution of strategic projects while ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications and security regulations. Key qualifications include a Master's degree in Information Technology or a comparable technical qualification, coupled with professional experience in firewall administration. Knowledge of vendors like SonicWall, Fortinet, and Check Point is desirable. The position requires strong system-wide IT understanding, initiative, and participation in cyclical weekly on-call duty approximately every five weeks.
