Job Summary

This postdoctoral position focuses on cutting-edge research within the ERC-funded project "CooPAIRation," investigating the molecular and structural mechanisms of plant immune receptor cooperation, specifically Nucleotide-binding, Leucine-rich-Repeat proteins (NLRs), to develop sustainable disease resistance strategies in crops. The successful candidate will perform routine molecular biology and protein biochemistry, including protein purification and sample preparation for Cryo-Electron Microscopy (CryoEM) and subsequent data analysis. Key responsibilities also involve conducting immune response assays in plants and protoplasts, meticulous documentation, drafting scientific publications, and supervising students and guest scientists. This role requires a PhD in a relevant scientific field, strong English communication skills, and an independent, solution-oriented approach, offering an opportunity to contribute significantly to plant immunity research in an international, well-equipped research environment.
