Job Summary

This (Senior) Consultant role focuses on Python Software Development, driving continuous transformation for clients by adapting their IT structures, assets, and processes. Day-to-day responsibilities involve full-lifecycle software development, including aligning detailed requirement specifications with customers and stakeholders. A core part of the job is contributing to platform development for resource provisioning and rights management, utilizing Python and Flask. The consultant will actively engage in DevOps practices, performing code reviews, maintaining and optimizing software architectures using Kubernetes and Helm within an AWS environment. You will automate deployment processes using Gitlab CI, adhering to Infrastructure-as-Code principles, and work end-to-end from local development through to cloud deployment and monitoring. Key qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or a comparable IT-focused field, combined with several years of experience in DevOps and at least three years of professional Python or comparable backend development expertise. This position offers significant project responsibility, mentorship, and the opportunity to shape future technology topics within an agile, hybrid work environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in (Business) Informatics or another IT/Computer Science focused field, or comparable qualification with relevant IT affinity.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a DevOps environment
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Python or comparable backend development
  • Several years of expertise in REST API Design, OpenAPI specifications, and authentication protocols (OAuth2, SAML)
  • Experience with AWS Cloud and Kubernetes/Helm
