Job Summary

This role as a Field Service Technician places you at the forefront of the energy transition, working for a global market leader in energy technology. Your primary responsibilities involve conducting regular service assignments across Germany and neighboring European countries, focusing on the maintenance, servicing, and repair of critical electrical systems, potentially including tap changers and transformers. You will operate highly autonomously, managing short- to medium-term assignments directly at customer sites, including energy suppliers and industrial clients. Key tasks include expert fault analysis, troubleshooting, coordinating external maintenance teams, and providing professional consultation and training to customers on product operation and maintenance. To succeed, you must hold a recognized German vocational qualification as an Electronics or Mechatronics Technician, possess strong technical comprehension and manual skills, and demonstrate high flexibility and customer orientation. Required Skills

Education

Completed recognized German vocational training as an Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician, or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in maintenance, servicing, and repair
  • Experience in the maintenance of tap changers or transformers (ideally)
  • Professional experience in customer-facing roles and technical training
  • Experience working independently and adapting to changing conditions on-site

Languages

English (Basic)

Additional

  • Willingness to travel regularly in Germany and neighboring countries; Possession of a Class B driving license; High degree of flexibility required to react to unplanned situations and changing on-site conditions.
