Job Summary

This role seeks an engaged Electrical Grid Planning Engineer to join the Network Planning team in Trier, Germany, focusing on shaping the future of energy infrastructure. The engineer will independently manage complex engineering tasks related to fundamental planning, concept development, and strategy for electricity (MV/LV/Substation) and fiber optic networks. Key responsibilities include developing and managing comprehensive conceptual solutions, such as network target concepts and regional planning, and handling complex connection requests for power supply and feed-in, including customer coordination and correspondence. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field, is passionate about the dynamic energy sector, and possesses strong analytical skills to manage complex public-law planning requirements (environmental, water/rail crossings). Success requires structured problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments, external partners, and authorities, contributing significantly to the energy transition and regional infrastructure strength.
