Job Summary

This role requires an experienced Occupational Safety Specialist to ensure rigorous compliance with all safety regulations and implement technical safety findings within the Wilhelmshaven medical support center. Key responsibilities include independently auditing workplaces, particularly new installations, regarding occupational safety and accident prevention. The specialist will oversee the monitoring and evaluation of workplace accidents, manage radiation protection protocols, and contribute to the development of risk assessments and operating instructions. A crucial part of the job involves coordinating safety efforts with assigned company medical services. This is a permanent, full-time position within the public sector (Bundeswehr), offering secure employment, flexible working arrangements, and the potential for civil servant status (Verbeamtung). Candidates must possess specific vocational training, advanced technical qualifications (Master Craftsman or Certified Technician), and the official qualification as an Occupational Safety Specialist.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, Electrical Installer, or Electrician for Energy and Building Technology, or comparable. Completed advanced training as a Master Craftsman or State-Certified Technician in Automotive Technology, Metal Construction, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field. Qualification as an Occupational Safety Specialist.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the relevant provisions and procedures of occupational safety, health protection, and environmental protection (Desired)
  • Professional experience in monitoring and evaluating workplace accidents
  • Professional experience in coordinating company medical services

Must possess a Class B driving license and the Bundeswehr Class B driving license, or be willing to acquire the latter. Willingness to drive an official vehicle. Willingness to participate in regular business trips. Willingness to participate in regular and advanced training. Agreement to participate in a medical suitability examination. For potential civil servant status (Verbeamtung), generally must not have completed the 50th year of age at the time of appointment.
