Job Summary

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining global Wide Area Network (WAN) and Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) solutions across data centers, regional hubs, and branch offices. The System Engineer will be crucial in supporting cloud transformation and digitalization initiatives by integrating cloud connectivity (Azure, AWS, GCP) into the global infrastructure, ensuring performance, scalability, and security. A key focus will be modernizing the network by replacing legacy MPLS and VPN infrastructures with advanced, policy-based routing solutions. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or IT and possesses deep professional experience in enterprise networking, including proven expertise in SD-WAN design (Cisco, HPe Aruba Edge Connect) and strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS). Fluency in both German and English is required, and the position offers attractive benefits, flexible working models, and the potential for 100% remote work.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in enterprise networking, including WAN, LAN, and security technologies
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing SD-WAN solutions (Cisco, HPe Aruba Edge Connect)
  • Practical experience in the DDI environment with integrated deployment and operation of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
  • Practical experience with network automation and monitoring tools (Ansible, Python, SD-WAN technologies)
