Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Automation Department Manager to lead the team in Düren, Germany. The core responsibilities involve providing technical and disciplinary leadership, ensuring structured task organization, and developing team members. A key focus is the comprehensive management of all automation projects, including planning, coordination, and rigorous monitoring of quality, deadlines, and costs across project phases. The manager will define and maintain software standards for PLC and robotic systems (using technologies like Siemens TIA-Portal and S7), collaborating closely with engineering teams on holistic automation concepts. Furthermore, the role requires supporting commissioning at customer sites, evaluating retrofit measures, and designing concepts for system interfaces and visualization solutions. Candidates must hold a relevant engineering degree, possess multi-year experience in PLC programming for special machine construction, and ideally have initial leadership exposure.
