Job Summary

This role is ideal for a Hardware Engineer specializing in Safety Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems, focusing on the maintenance and enhancement of engineering tools. The core responsibilities involve overseeing and developing tools based on MS Access and MS Visio using VBA. Key tasks include creating requirements specifications (Pflich- and Lastenhefte), maintaining comprehensive user and developer documentation, and continuously improving tools in collaboration with users. The position requires a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, foundational programming skills in a high-level language (VBA, C, Perl, Python, Java, etc.), and proficiency in database management, ideally with SQL.
